Kanye West pays more than $2 million for armored SUVs from Latvia
Kanye West must be taking fatherhood very seriously, because he reportedly just spent more than $2 million on two armored SUVs to cart his daughter North around town. Or take Kim Kardashian shopping. Either way, the paparazzi won't be a problem in this thing.
The New York Daily News says Kanye bought the vehicles from the Latvian outfit Dartz Motorz, which specializes in "bespoke armored coaches," according to its website. Each truck, called the Prombron, is made to order and can fend off bullets, bombs, landmines and even rocket-propelled grenades, the Daily News notes. There's even an option to make the vehicles radiation-resistant, which will come in handy when Kris Jenner visits.
The 5,500-pound trucks, about the size of a Chevy Tahoe, can reach up to 194 mph and gets 10 mpg in the city. We can't wait to see which option West chooses, but the report must be true: The company tweeted this photo on Aug. 23, which would be hilarious if it wasn't so frightening.
