Kat Von D and Deadmau5 aren't getting married anymore
Well, the marriage of dubstep and L.A. Ink was fun while it lasted, but Kat Von D and Deadmau5 are officially kaput. We were hoping for a really wild wedding reception, too.
Kat kicked things off Wednesday by tweeting, "Cheating on your loved one is the most hurtful thing one could do. I hate to have to admit, that this relationship is indeed over. Onwards and upwards." Obviously that had something to do with her DJ fiance. He addressed the split on Thursday.
"Kat and I split in November and I moved back home to Toronto," he wrote on his Facebook page. "During this time, while we were broken up, I did have relations with another woman. Following that, Kat and I reconciled and I acknowledged being intimate with another person while we were estranged." That didn't stop them from getting engaged.
"We did move past those issues and I proposed to Kat in mid- December. At the end of June, it was clear that the relationship was not working and we mutually ended the engagement. I was not, at any point, unfaithful to Kat during our time together."
That didn't seem to be fair reasoning on her part, however. "There are far too many good examples of kind and honest people in life to waste energy on bad ones. My apologies for losing sight of that," she added on Twitter. We're not worried, though. If they follow the saga of Ross and Rachel from Friends, they'll get back together in about seven years. Hey, they were on a break.
