Ke$ha enters rehab for eating disorder
Seems that behind the scenes, Ke$ha has been facing less than a Crazy Beautiful Life.
The 26-year-old pop star entered rehab on Friday, TMZ reports.
Ke$ha announced on her Facebook page that she is seeking treatment for an eating disorder.
“I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I’ve found it hard to practice,” she wrote. “I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am.”
The Timber singer is being treated at Timberline Knolls outside Chicago, where Demi Lovato also got help.
Ke$ha had been looking more slim lately, and her trainer recently shared her alleged diet and workout plan with E! News.
“We’ve been doing a lot of circuit training and incorporating Pilates exercises with weights that heighten and shape the butt,” Kit Rich said. “Lunges, squats, stairs and isolated glute exercises.”
“She makes fresh vegetable and fruit juices in her juicer daily,” he added. “Plus, she eats lots of protein — she really loves salmon! — and steamed veggies and tons of water.”
Well, that sounds pretty healthy, so we’re assuming it’s not the whole story.
Top-secret sources supposedly close to Ke$ha tell TMZ that her music producer, Dr. Luke — who also worked with Miley Cyrus and Rihanna — has been fat-shaming her.
The insiders tell TMZ that the producer, who signed an 18-year-old Ke$ha, started calling her fat after she gained weight following her Get Sleazy tour in 2011.
One source says he told her she “looks like a “f---ing refrigerator” during a music video shoot in 2012.
Dr. Luke didn’t respond to calls from TMZ.
Here’s wishing Ke#&$ha a speedy recovery.
