Lamar Odom to appear at Kanye West's live-streamed New York Fashion Week show today
Lamar Odom has made seemingly miraculous strides since he suffered 12 strokes as a result of a suspected overdose at a Nevada brothel in October. He's walking, talking and living in a private residence.
Today, the former NBA player will take one more giant step: Odom, 36, has plans to make his first public appearance since the incident at Kanye West's New York Fashion Week show at Madison Square Garden this afternoon.
According to Us Weekly, Odom and his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, were on their way to New York on Wednesday evening. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner were already in town; West joined the Jenner sisters at the launch of their Kendall + Kylie Collection in Tribeca on Monday.
The debut of West's third sportswear collection for Adidas is billed Yeezy Season 3. The event will double as the debut for West's new album, The Life of Pablo, and will include a performance by Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft.
“It was always a dream to have a listening party at Madison Square Garden,” West tweeted last week. “It was always a dream to show my collection at Madison Square Garden.”
The spectacle will be live-streamed at 4 p.m. on Tidal and shown in movie theaters around the world, but all we really care about is that Odom is doing so well. And that he isn't paraded around for publicity.
