Lance Bass isn't quite confirming or denying an *NSYNC reunion
As much as some of you girls of the '90s may want it to happen, we have to break your heart and say that potential reunion of Justin Timberlake with *NSYNC at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards may not really be happening. It's not like they're the Backstreet Boys, after all.
"They're in Miami right now trying to put something together, if anything at all. It may not be a performance," a source tells E!. "They wanted to make sure that *NSYNC was acknowledged as a major part of Justin's success." Then JT can collect Vanguard Award together. But don't take some anonymous source's word for it.
"We all came down here (to Miami) except for J.C. (Chasez) ... Joey (Fatone), Chris (Kirkpatrick) and myself went to go see Justin’s last show with Jay Z at the Stadium last Friday, and I even took a picture of it, it’s on my Instagram," Lance Bass said on his Sirius radio show, Dirty Pop with Lance Bass.
"I think that’s what started the rumor that there’s going to be this big reunion with NSYNC…it’s amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media ... (and) how many people are supporting *NSYNC. It’s so nice to see because when we ended things ten years ago, there was no social media, there was no Twitter, but it’s so cute to see how many people are supporting and *NSYNC was even trending.”
Of course, after that Daft Punk stunt Stephen Colbert pulled, this all may be a joke. That's pretty effective marketing for a lot of folks.
