Laverne Cox to star in 'Rocky Horror Picture Show’
Laverne Cox, the first transgender actor to receive an Emmy nomination, is a national treasure and stunning hero who has the exquisite bravery of a beautiful butterfly flying against the wind.
Now, the Orange Is the New Black star is bringing her talents to the 40-year-old cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Cox will play Dr. Frank-N-Furter (first played by OG Tim Curry in the Broadway hit and 1975 flick) for the TV remake that Fox is calling a reimagining of the film that will premier next fall.
So, lingerie on a woman. Groundbreaking.
Rocky Horror last month hit 40 years of theatrical distribution, which is a record.
