Lena Dunham apologizes for molestation joke
Lena Dunham doesn’t embarrass easily, what with her frequent nakedness and all, but she’s definitely blushing over a molestation joke she made on Twitter on Sunday, and the worst part is, it wasn’t even funny.
Just after she wrapped her gig as host on Saturday Night Live, the Girls multi-hyphenate found herself defending some of her skits, Us Weekly reports. One of which was a scene in which she stripped down to play Eve, as in of Adam and.
A fan (?) tweeted, “you don’t always have to get naked!” to which Dunham, 27, replied, “Please tell that to my uncle, mister. He’s been making me!”
The Internet didn’t react too kindly, and Lena deleted her tweet. “I just made and deleted a not so great molestation joke. Sorry guys. I am really sleepy,” she wrote, adding. “SNL has a way bigger audience than our usual cozy girls audience, so I was seeing a rash of very different kinds of twitter rage. But I should know better, and do. Even naked girls get embarrassed. Sleep well and thanks for an amazing weekend.”
