Lil Za arrested for drug possession during Justin Bieber raid

Justin Bieber’s BFF Lil Za was arrested Tuesday morning for drug possession during a search of the Biebs’ estate, where the rapper used to live. Za was about to post bail and be released Tuesday night, but then he flipped out and smashed a phone in jail, so the cops re-booked him for vandalism.

Eleven patrol cars descended upon Bieber's Calabasas, Calif., home — with a battering ram, we might add — to conduct a search stemming from the egging of a neighbor’s house on Thursday night.

Kids just can’t get away with anything these days.

Bieber, 19, is the prime suspect in the egging, which TMZ reports caused an estimated $20,000 in damage. That’s about $1,000 per egg tossed, because Calabasas homes are super fancy. The Boyfriend singer was detained in his garage and cooperated with authorities while they conducted the raid.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Lt. David Thompson told reporters the drug — which was first believed to be cocaine but was being tested late Tuesday to determine if it is actually Molly, a form of Ecstasy — was in plain view when authorities entered the home at 8 a.m. Officials also found Xanax, which they believe belonged to Za as well.

Cocaine could land Lil Za in prison for three years, but punishment for MDMA is about one year, TMZ reports.

Thompson said officials hope the raid will curb some of Bieber’s disruptive habits, such as reckless driving, loud partying and underage drinking.

“We hope maybe understanding the gravity of this will change some of the behavior,” Thompson said. “We hope that we can give the neighborhood the quality of life that they deserve.”

Officials say Bieber is not connected to the drugs, but the pop idol still could be facing his fair share of trouble. The felony search warrant suggests that Bieber, if found guilty, could be sentenced to time in prison.

So what exactly were the cops looking for — eggs?

Well, yes, actually, because the contents of Bieber’s fridge could match evidence on the scene. But mainly they were on the hunt for grainy footage. Deputies watched the neighbor’s video of the egging and believe Bieber’s surveillance cameras may have captured the incident as well. Authorities dismantled his security system and took it with them.

So basically what they’re saying is that now’s the perfect time to TP Bieber’s house.

Just kidding. Calm down. Kumbaya and all that.
