Martina McBride joined a growing list of artists that have backed out of Sea World’s Bands, Brew & BBQ Festival due to the uproar surrounding the documentary Blackfish.

The film, which addresses the effects of captivity on whales, questions what may have caused Tilikum the orca to kill a trainer in 2010. Tilikum was also involved in two other deaths.

“I’ve decided that given all the issues that have been aired recently, that time isn’t right for me to play at SeaWorld,” McBride said on her official Facebook page Saturday. “I have canceled my scheduled performance.”

Other artists to distance themselves from the Orlando park in the wake of the Blackfish controversy: REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, Barenaked Ladies, Trisha Yearwood, Joan Jett, Heart and — say it ain’t so — Willie Nelson.
