Maya Rudolph is pregnant, 'Up All Night' looks doomed
The television gods really do not want NBC’s Up All Night to continue. First Christina Applegate decided to leave the show. Then Will Arnett basically gets a job offer to star in a pilot for CBS. Now Maya Rudolph is pregnant with her fourth child. That new multi-camera format just doesn’t have legs, we’re thinking.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals Rudolph told NBC she and film director Paul Thomas Anderson are expecting again, and while the show’s honchos wanted to put the pregnancy in the show, things may not get to that stage. Up All Night writers are now said to be looking for new gigs, THR reports.
Rudolph is getting some looks for a new show, but Arnett is supposedly being heavily recruited by CBS boss Les Moonves for a sitcom about a divorcee whose parents move in with him. And if he decides not to do that, ABC is said to looking to put Will somewhere, too. Maybe he can pair up with Applegate for a show about two new parents dealing with having a newborn. That would be an original idea.
