Michael Jackson's daughter Paris, 15, hospitalized after suicide attempt
The late Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has been hospitalized for a suicide attempt, her mother Debbie Rowe has told Entertainment Tonight.
The 15-year-old was taken to a Los Angeles facility after L.A. County Fire was called for an overdose at 1:27 a.m. Wednesday, ET reports. Rowe told the show exclusively that Jackson has had "a lot going on" and was taken to the hospital with cuts on her wrist.
An unnamed source told ET this happened after Paris was told she couldn't go to Marilyn Manson's Friday concert with Alice Cooper at the Gibson Amphitheater. The teenager's Twitter feed lit up before the incident, with Paris posting "that conversation escalated quickly," followed by "I wonder why tears are salty ?" and a line from The Beatles' song Yesterday: "yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay"
Her grandmother Katherine Jackson released a statement on the attempt: "Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family's privacy."
June 25 will be the fourth anniversary of Michael Jackson's death.
