O-Town announces reunion tour
They’re ready to give us (almost) their all. Four-fifths of O-Town are reuniting.
The boy band named after Orlando has announced that, 10 years after breaking up, they will go on tour without original member Ashley Parker Angel (boo, hiss), the New York Daily News reports.
The guys, who rocketed to heartthrobby stardom as winners of the MTV reality show Making the Band back in 2000, shared the big news on Twitter last week. “WE’RE BACK!!!” they later wrote on their website. “Thank you to all of you that have shown love since our announcement! This reunion is for you guys and we promise not to disappoint.”
But wait; there’s more. O-Town is making new music, too. Jacob Underwood, Dan Miller, Erik-Michael Estrada, and Trevor Penick told Billboard all about what’s next:
“We started this reunion purely for the fun of it,” Underwood said. “We had discussed a summer tour to perform our old songs and finally give the fans what they’ve been asking us for the last 10 years. However, once we began working, what developed was something a little more ambitious. The ideas kept flying and we couldn’t help but start making new music.”
So when will their work be inflicted upon us? “You will hear a new single soon :),” they tweeted.
