Pink stops concert in the middle of a song to comfort crying child
Just a couple weeks after showing Tampa Bay her softer side during her Truth About Love concert tour at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, Pink's maternal instincts came out during her show in Philadelphia Sunday night. The 33-year-old mother stopped her show mid-song to comfort a crying girl in the crowd. We woulda still been a little scared she'd start throwing some punches, but she's mellowed a bit.
The mother of almost 2-year-old daughter Willow was in the middle of an acoustic version of her song Who Knew when she stopped her guitarist and said, ""Is everything okay right here? Is this little girl all right?" She asked why the child was crying and was told there was a fight. "Because there was a fight? Y'all are fighting around a little girl?" She begged off the crowd's chorus of boos -- it was Philadelphia after all, the town where Eagles fans pelted Santa Claus with snowballs -- and offered the kid a stuffed frog and a Rice Krispies treat she had on hand, telling the girl, "You look beautiful." The child was too scared to go up to the stage, but fans handed the loot back to her. Pink then sat back down to restart her song as if nothing had happened. Count yourselves lucky, pitfighters, because this is a woman who sings about choking her significant other to death and punching him in the face; she's not always Mrs. Happy Go Lucky.
