Playboy Playmate Colleen Shannon sentenced to four months in prison
Former Playboy Playmate Colleen Shannon isn't exactly a Juice*-level celebrity, but since she was arrested for attempting to smuggle an illegal immigrant into the U.S. and now has to got to prison for four months, we're all ears. Even our sterling standards can be bent, y'know.
Shannon, the centerfold for the magazine's 50th anniversary edition in 2004, was charged in August 2012 with helping her boyfriend Robert Skojo sneak in from Canada through the Akwesasne Mohawk Indian Reservation, the Syracuse Post-Standard reported. Unfortunately, Skojo had a record of drug charges and getting caught with prostitutes in Canada, so he would not have been allowed to cross into the States. Kind of makes you wonder how they met.
Shannon showed up at the Massena point of entry to New York state in Skojo's 2005 Bentley and $9,800 in cash, which seemed all kinds of suspicious because she works mostly as a DJ these days and couldn't provide proof of permission to drive the car. She said she was driving to New York to meet her agent, so border agents let her go, and reported her to Homeland Security. Agents watched her until she met up with Skojo at a Fort Covington, N.Y., hotel and arrested them.
TMZ said Shannon, 34, was hit with the four-month sentence and pay a $5,000 fine. She has to report to a federal prison by Dec. 3, at which time she will have a really hard time finding DJ gigs.
