Police question J. Cole fan who tweeted photo with gun to sister's head
A fan of J. Cole is pretty apologetic after a joke photo he tweeted of him holding his sister hostage with a handgun until the rapper would retweet him, TMZ reports. Yeah, that wasn't the brightest idea that doofus user ever had.
Police in New Braunfels, Texas, were questioning the 19-year-old holder of the Twitter account That Ain't My Kid (@_TzC_) after he posted a photo Monday of him pointing a pistol at his sister's head with a tweet that read, "retweet me and I'll buy Born Sinner. Don't retweet me and I'll kill my lil sister". J. Cole, who had been promoting his new album, brought attention to the pic by tweeting in response, "Wildest s--- I ever seen on twitter".
The tweet was deleted after the unnamed teen responded to a ton of criticism, but it was seen enough to warrant a vist from the authorities. The cops say he "is cooperating and it seems this was just a bad lapse in judgment." Police say the gun in the picture is a BB gun, not an actual handgun," TMZ reports. "For now this is still an open investigation, and for the time being no charges are being filed."
Furthermore, the 19-year-old told the site he was plenty sorry:
"I'd like to apologize to America for the photo and to put J. Cole in that position. It was all a joke," he said. "It was an unloaded BB gun and my sister was in on it. I only tweeted it because I didn't expect a response. Mr. Cole please don't sue me. I want to formally apologize more to J. Cole and yeah my mom made me delete my twitter until I fixed it.”
We're guessing mama won't be letting him buy Born Sinner anytime soon, either.
