Rihanna donates $25K to charity after smashing police official's phone

$25,000. That's the amount Rihanna donated to a police charity after smashing L.A. Police Commission President Steve Soboroff’s iPhone.

Rihanna and the prez were seated next to each other at the Clippers playoff game on Friday, and RiRi happily obliged when Soboroff asked her to pose for a selfie to show off their matching LAPD wristbands. The Good Girl Gone Bad singer tried to snap the pic herself, according to Us Weekly, but dropped the phone and shattered the screen.

“Sorry I broke your phone @SteveSoboroff :),” Rihanna tweeted after the game.

She was so sorry, in fact, that she donated $25,000 to his L.A. Police Foundation. There’s another bonus in store for Soboroff. Rihanna signed his phone, so naturally he’s selling it on eBay. The screen is smashed but it still works.

Quick, grab your wallet!

All's well that ends well.
