Rihanna surpasses Justin Bieber for combined YouTube video views

That's not to say the music is any better, or even more popular. Seriously, we'd rather watch the video for We Found Love a dozen times more than Right Here.

This week was big news for Rihanna, because she finally overtook Justin Bieber for the crown of most-viewed YouTube artist . That must be especially hard for Biebs, seeing as how YouTube is how he got famous in the first place.

RiRi's 77 videos on the site reached a combined view count of 3.784 billion, about two million more than Bieber's 79 videos combined, Billboard reports. They cite Rihanna's much larger subscriber base as a reason (almost 8.8 million vs. almost 5 million), but it probably took so long because of Beliebers' sheer fanatacism.

Of course, we don't know how big of a deal it is to claim a crown on a free video streaming service. It's not like MT ever had a hit counter back in the early '90s, when dinosaurs and actual music on television roamed the Earth.
