In his quest to become some mutant hybrid of Regis Philbin, Dick Clark and Les Moonves, Ryan Seacrest will now be hosting NBC's new gameshow, The Million Second Quiz. That's about how long you'll need to name every single project Seacrest is hosting these days.

“When people see Ryan Seacrest, whether at the Emmys, the Oscars or New Year’s Eve, he is at the epicenter of national events” NBC’s president of alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “He is a broadcaster, in all the traditional sense, but also in the most contemporary -- he is an accomplished host of live TV and a master of social media and pop culture. This makes him perfect for The Million Second Quiz.”

In case you were wondering, the show is a 12-day competition NBC will broadcast nightly from an hourglass-shaped dorm in Manhattan. The million minutes is the 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds each contestant will have to answer questions and win challenges to win as much $10 million.

The show will arrive on NBC on Sept. 9, with Seacrest as host and executive producer. He'll still be doing all his other projects for radio, Fox, E! and ABC, making us think the million minutes is how much time that elapses between Ryan's 60-minute recharge periods.
