Savannah Guthrie joins legion of moms
It’s a girl for Savannah Guthrie.
The Today show co-host and husband Michael Feldman welcomed their first child together early Wednesday. Vale Guthrie Feldman weighed in at 8 lbs., 5 oz., and measured 19.5 inches long, the morning show reports.
“My 3am wake up call sounds a lot different now. Sweeter...” Guthrie tweeted early Thursday.
The little one “has blue eyes,” (like pretty much every baby ever born), “a little bit of blondish hair and the chubbiest cheeks you’ve ever seen,” Guthrie, who was planning to call into the show today, told friends at the program. “Mike and I are so overcome with happiness, gratitude and joy.”
Guthrie’s colleagues sent her off to maternity leave in style on Monday, showering the 42-year-old with gifts.
“In my heart of hearts, I would hope for Savannah to have a girl,” Guthrie’s mom Nancy told People. “I probably shouldn’t say that because my son is just everything to me, but there’s nothing better than a daughter.”
Looks like we know who grandma’s favorite is.
