Zooey Deschanel may play all sweet on her Fox sitcom New Girl, but the popular rumor these days is that the star and producer of the show is a beast on the set. Well, you try managing all your coworkers when you're trying to get your own work done and see how happy you are.

“Although the show has other bosses, including creator Liz Meriwether and producer Katherine Pope, Zooey rules the roost,” an oddly specific unnamed source tells RadarOnline. “And she gets moody and starts making rules on the set which is upsetting a lot of the cast and crew members."

Apparently the biggest problem for Deschanel is the schedule, which she allegedly changes on a whim.

“The show’s schedule really drives Zooey up a wall, because they’re always running behind when the full cast is on set," the source says. “So now, Zooey insists on days ending with scenes that just feature her and one other actor. When that can’t happen due to the production schedule, however, she’s unhappy and all hell breaks loose.”

An actor who wants things done on their terms? Shocking! For now, we can get back to wondering why they still call the show New Girl when it's in its third season. They should change the name to just Girl.
