AT&T to sell iPads beginning Oct. 28
The Apple iPad will be sold in AT&T stores beginning Oct. 28. All three models of the combined 3G and WiFi iPads will be available and the data plans will remain the same. Currently AT&T offers two monthly data plans for 3G iPads, $14.99 for 250MB and $25 for 2GB. If you exceed the allotted amount in one month you have the option to buy another allotment or wait until the end of the month. All iPad data plans are available without a term contract and include unlimited access to AT&T's 23,000+ domestic WiFi Hot Spots.
AT&T and Verizon today both announced iPad availabilty at their stores on Oct. 28, with the difference being that Verizon will not have the iPad on their 3G network but instead will sell it bundled with their MiFi mobile hotspot device. For more details see this previous post.
This week Wal Mart and Sam's Club announced they will begin selling iPads too, with availabilty in some Wal Mart stores beginning Oct. 15. They Join Best Buy and Target as Apple ramps up for the holiday season and iPad demand.
