This Barbie is a video camera
Even more surprising is the free software you can download to use with the camera. Although it would be nice if it were available for PCs and Macs (it's PC only), I like that it introduces drag-and-drop timeline editing with multiple tracks that can set a good foundation for more advanced video editing in the future. For Mac users the clips can be edited in Apple's iMovie. Now if they would just make a G.I. Joe Video Man so we can throw him off of some buildings under parachute with the camera rolling....
When I first heard about the Barbie Video Girl doll/camera from a friend I was pretty skeptical. A video camera in the chest of a Barbie doll? How good could it be? Expecting video that looked like a print from one of those thermal photo machines at Chuck E. Cheese, I was very skeptical but decided to give it a try. Much to my surprise the video quality is pretty good and the audio is good too. Watch the latest Gadget Guy video to see a sample.
