Boonbag is a beanbag chair for your iPad

Beanbag chairs seem to come and go but are never far from renewed popularity. First introduced in the late 1960's, popular throughout the 1970's and again in the 1990's, they're making a another comeback along with 1970's fashion. So it doesn't surprise me that a company has designed the Boonbag, a beanbag chair for your iPad or other tablet computer.

Made in Germany, the Boonbag uses a patented nano-hook tape to secure your tablet or e-reader to the bag. The tape doesn't use glue or magnets but instead uses a static connection for easy application and removal from your device. It's designed for use on smooth surfaces though, so if your tablet is in a textured case you'll need to remove it.

The Boonbag is made of a leatherette material and it's filled with tiny polystyrene beads. Available in many colors, it retails for $69 and comes with a 30-day, money-back guarantee.

I haven't tested one but the concept looks great. I can see this being used at the breakfast table, on the kitchen counter when reading recipes or just on your lap when reading or watching a video. The price seems a bit steep for this kind of thing, however, and that's probably due to transportation costs coming from Germany.
