FarmVille "crops" now available at 7-Eleven
I have lots of friends who plays those games on Facebook, You know the ones...FarmVille, Mafia Wars and YoVille are a few. I tried FarmVille awhile back at the urging of some friends and found it wasn't for me. After planting some crops I forgot to water them so they all died. I felt like such a failure that I packed up and abandoned my farm. My cow is still there and hope she's OK!
Afterward I found it distracting to constantly see those game updates on Facebook. People were constantly wanting help harvesting their crops or were trying to find a lost pig. Hit men were looking for partners in crime. Yada, yada, yada. No offense to those who play these games but I decided to hide the game updates and my life was FarmVille free. Well it was, until yesterday when I went to 7-Eleven to get my free Slurpee.
Imagine my surprise when I discoverd people are actually harvesting their crops in FarmVille and bringing them to market to help the economy! Wow. This really changed my perspective on things. It's not enough to make me unhide the status updates but hey, you farmers keep on keepin' on!
And by the way, I have some slightly-used farm land for sale. If you want to take a look let me know, and if you find my cow her name is MINI and she likes Slurpees.
(All kidding aside, during the Zynga promotion at 7-Eleven you can buy specially-marked items from 7-Eleven and earn codes for exclusive virtual you can use in FarmVille, YoVille and Mafia Wars on Facebook.)
