Free Wi-Fi up and running at Starbucks

The free Wi-Fi at Starbucks is up and running as promised and I'm posting this from a Starbucks in Tampa. No registration is needed but you do have to go through a connection screen with a checkbox indicating you agree to their Terms of Service.

Starbucks is pretty late to the free Wi-Fi game. McDonald's turned on free Wi-Fi earlier this year and Panera bread has had it for awhile. At Panera stores in the Tampa Bay area it's not uncommon to see people using the store as their office, staying there for most of the day. For that reason some Panera stores in Tampa Bay turn off the Wi-Fi for several hours during the afternoon rush to make sure lunch customers can find a seat. Since Starbucks doesn't have a full lunch menu, that probably won't be a problem for them.
