Google Voice Search now available on your computer, if you use Chrome

Google has launched Voice Search that you can use on your computer and is rolling it out to people a little at a time. To use it, you have to download and use the Google Chrome browser. You also need a computer with a built-in or external microphone. One you see the little microphone just click on it and start talking.

I'm not sure I like the exclusivity of it though. By offering this type of tool and making it available only in their browser, Google may attract some new users to Chrome but they're also going to tick some people off. Tools like this should be made available on all platforms and browsers because of the great utility they provide. Perhaps after Google has some time to bask in the glory of their new feature in Chrome, they'll make it available for some of the other browsers too.
