iMainGo X case s a tiny boom box for MP3 players, amp for guitars

Some of the latest iPods and MP3 players have built in speakers but let's face it, even in a silent room those speakers were meant to play music for one. When you want to share your tunes or maybe a video wouldn't it be nice to have some compact speakers that people can hear? And when I say compact I mean something the size of a Walkman. Possible?

Enter the iMainGo X, a compact protective case for your iPhone, iPod Touch or other MP3 player and built-in sound system that will surprise you. With premium, high-output stereo speakers and tuned porting for superior bass reproduction, the iMainGo X is positioned to compete with portable speaker systems that are much larger and cost much more. Powered by an onboard digital music amplifier, the unit runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery or can be powered by the included AC adapter. A microphone jack makes the unit an external speaker for anything that uses a 3.5mm audio connection. Use it with your iPad, Kindle, microphone, computer or even an electric guitar.

iMainGo X Specs:

  • Ultra –portable speaker system and protective case for your iPhone, iPod touch or MP3Custom fits and protects all iPods® (except Shuffle®), iPhone®, iPod Touch® and most MP3’s.
  • Doubles as a premium external stereo speaker system for any device with a 3.5 mm connection
  • Control and view your device without opening the case
  • Comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and plug in charger for extended use
  • Daisy-chain feature allows you to connect more than one iMainGo X for a larger sound experience
  • Comes with custom travel bag, wrist strip and adjustable carry strap
  • Size 5.7” x 3.8” x 2.4”

This is the third speaker system in the iMainGo lineup and the first to have the ability for daisy-chaining to create largerr speaker systems. The first two, iMainGo and iMainGo 2, have had glowing reviews so I expect the same from this one. I'll do some sound comparisons and post a review video once I have a unit to test.
