iPhone 4 free case program app available now
On Friday Apple released the iPhone 4 free case program app and notified registered iPhone 4 owners via email that it was available. The free app allows you to order a free iPhone bumper case and also offers seven additional choices from Incase, Belkin Griffin and Speck. All cases show a ship time of 3-5 weeks with the exception of the Speck case, which has a ship time of 6-8 weeks.
The free case program is being offered by Apple after they acknowledged a reception problem with the antenna on the iPhone 4. Putting a case on the phone is said to fix the problem, so Apple finally decided to give them away.
For iPhone 4 purchases made before July 23, 2010, owners must apply no later than August 22, 2010. For purchases after that date owners must apply within 30 days of iPhone 4 purchase. All iPhone 4 purchases must be made by September 30, 2010 to qualify.
Those who previously purchased an iPhone bumper case also can get a refund for their case. Instructions on how to get your refund are HERE.
