iPhone app developed by University of Tampa junior honored in Webby Awards
Back in November I told you about University of Tampa junior Molly McGill who conceived and helped develop an iPhone app for the Breeder's Cup. In the 15th Webby Awards competition, judged recently, the app was noted as an official honoree in the Sports category. After pitching the idea last year to the Breeder's Cup president, McGill earned a six-week internship where she helped develop the app. It has been downloaded 49,000 times in 86 countries, enabling people all over the world to watch the Breeder's Cup races, live on their iPhones.
