New HTC Facebook phones announced

Here's one for the Facebook addicts (who, me?). HTC has announced two new "Facebook phones" that have a dedicated Facebook button built-in. Named the Salsa and the ChaCha, the special button on these phones makes sharing content with your Facebook friends a simple task. When you're currently viewing sharable content, the Facebook button glows.

The Salsa is reported to be equipped with a 3.4-inch, 480 x 320 touchscreen while the ChaCha has a portrait QWERTY keyboard, a-la Blackberry style. The phones also are equipped with rear-facing five-megapixel cameras VGA-quality front-facing cameras for video chat.

This puts to rest the persistent rumor that there would be one "Facebook phone."  In a taped video clip at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said there would be "dozens" of Facebook phones. Both phones are expected to be available worldwide in the second quarter and HTC announced similar Facebook-integrated phones will arrive on AT&T "later this year."
