New Scosche sneakPeek II cable sends iOS device video to your TV

Yesterday I showed you how to use two Apple cables to connect your iPhone, iPod or iPad to your TV. Today Scosche announced the availability of a new cable that combines the features of both Apple cables into one.

The sneakPEEK II allows users to share their videos with friends and family regardless of the TV that is available – HD or standard definition, component or composite – it can be connected to virtually any television," said Kas Alves, executive vice president of Scosche Industries.

With component and composite video connections, the cable also has an integrated micro USB port and included 3ft USB to micro USB cable for charging of iOS devices during playback. It also comes with 24k gold plated tips for enhanced durability and superior audio quality. Unlike the Apple cables, however, it does not include a USB power adapter.

The sneakPEEK II is available now at for $59.99.

Since the two Apple cables are $49 each, it seems this would be a better deal, offering greater flexibility for connections to many types of TVs and video devices. Since most people already have a USB power adapter for their device they likely won't need another, and even after adding one for $29 you still save $9 and have less to carry. Seems like a no-brainer, unless you just have to have the sexy, white Apple-brand cables.
