The Original Super Glue Guide iPhone app helps you with your sticky business

When Harry Wesley Coover Jr. accidentally invented Super Glue, do you think he had any idea it would become the paper clip of glues? I'm sure he didn't, and he had no way of knowing his magical, gooey substance would inspire an iPhone app more than 50 years later, but he did live to see it happen. Mr. Coover died Saturday, March 26 at the age of 94, leaving behind a legacy of Super Glue products derived from his original invention.

The Original Super Glue Guide is an iPhone app you can use use to choose the right glue for the job. Using the app is as easy as answering three questions.

  1. What are you gluing? (wood, metal ceramic, glass, etc.)
  2. What are you gluing to?
  3. Under what conditions? (clean indoors, some dirt/oil, some weathering, exposed water)

Make your selections and hit the "Find My Glue" button and the best choice is made for you. You get a picture of the product, a link to the Super Glue web site for a more complete description and a "Share" button in case you want to tell everyone on Facebook or Twitter about your glue choice (kinda weird, but they get points for trying to be social).

The next time you're standing in the home improvement store staring at the 300 different types of glue and trying to figure things out, you can use this app to figure it out.
