Android texting scam: Spammed text messages are going around that can infect your Android smartphone, causing it to send virulent text messages to thousands of phone numbers each day. And if you don't have unlimited texting plan, this could be really bad news.  USA Today

T-Mobile adds 4G in Tampa; Solavei plan: T-Mobile announced its expansion of the 4G network to 14 new markets, including Tampa and South Florida. This allows Solavei, a no-contract plan powered by the T-Mobile network, to offer a pre-paid, unlimited voice/text/data, no-contract option for $49 a month. If you sign up several friends to join the service, you could get credit which you can apply to your monthly bill. You can use your own unlocked phone, even an iPhone, or get a free Android phone after rebate.

Netflix's Christmas Eve problems: Some customers found their Netflix service out of order on Christmas Eve because of problems with the Amazon Web Service.   TechCrunch
