Watch for Flash scams: We've known this day would come: Adobe Flash Player for Android is no more. It ceased to be as of Aug. 15 on Google Play. Now come the scammers who want to take advantage of Flash Player fans with fake Flash apps that, when downloaded, can steal your contacts and personal info. Phandroid

Place to look for kids' apps: There are lots of apps for kids out there, but not all of them are good ones. Fortunately, there are  sites that can steer you the right way, so you don't waste your time and money on duds.  USA Today

Straight from a galaxy far, far away: Some cool toys and gadgets showed up at the Star Wars Celebration VI convention recently. Among them, a Death Star tea infuser, R2-D2 and C-3PO smartphone docks, and a light saber popsicle maker.   NBC News

Samsung hearing date set: A hearing to determine if Samsung devices should be pulled of the shelves in the U.S. will be at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in San Jose. Apple has as asked for the following to be banned after a jury ruled against Samsung and awarded Apple $1.05 billion: Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S2 (AT&T), Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile), Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge and Galaxy Prevail.  USA Today
