Sinners take note: There's an app for you
It's a busy world, even for sinners. So when it's time to go to confession on Saturday who can remember all their sins? Well sinners fret no more because the Roman Catholic Church has approved an app to make sure you don't leave the confessional without coming clean.
With Confession: A Roman Catholic App, the goal is to use the Ten Commandments as a guideline to check off all your sins in the app. Then when it's your turn to kneel in the booth you just open the app and read your sins off the list. It kind of reminds me of using a sample ballot when you go to vote on election day.
Billed as "the perfect aid for every penitent," the app also provides you with a way to record your own personalized, custom sins that can't be found on the list. This feature is perfect for those really diabolical acts of evil.
The app doesn't recommed a penance so you'll still have to get that from your priest. Afterward, however, you can use the iRosary app to say your Hail Marys and Our Fathers. Who knew the Catholic Church was so hip?
