Space jump sets YouTube records; first-person video footage of fall

Did you watch Felix Baumgartner's record-setting space jump Sunday? The Austrian dare-devil became the first man to surpass the speed of sound as he plunged to Earth from about 24 miles up. He also set records for the highest jump and longest distance fall. YouTube also set a record with more than 8 million watching the feat.

Baumgartner didn't break the longest free-fall time of 4 minutes 36 seconds set by Joe Kittenger, despite jumping from much higher up. Wired delves into possibilities of why.
