Sprint announces EVO View 4G tablet with 1.5GHz, WiMAX and 7-inch screen
The EVO View 4G tablet was announced by Sprint on Tuesday at CTIA Wireless 2011 in Orlando. It has a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 screen with a 1.5GHz processor, a 5 megapixel rear and 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, connecting on 4G with a WiMAX radio. It weighs just 14.88 ounces. Much like the AT&T announcement of the LG Thrill 4G, the EVO View is a re-badged HTC Flyer tablet which was announced last month. So that means it will have the same HTC Scribe "digital pen" stylus and the fantastic HTC Sense enhanced user interface. It's scheduled to ship "this summer" with 32GB of storage. No word yet on which version of the Android operating system it will be running.
As a side note, Best Buy and HTC also announced Tuesday that a WiFi-only version of the HTC Flyer will be available this Spring.
