Sprint announces their first 3D smartphone, the HTC EVO 3D
The HTC EVO 3D was announced by Sprint late Tuesday at CTIA Wireless 2011 in Orlando. Over at the HTC booth they had the EVO 3D alongside the EVO View tablet under glass, so I didn't get to actually hold one in my hand. I'll try to do that today but for now, here are the specs.
It has a 4.3-inch, glasses-free 3D display and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4G WiMAX radio, dual rear-facing 5 megapixel cameras (for 3D video and photos) and a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera. Coming sometime in the Summer it will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the HTC Sense enhanced user interface.
