Today's Google Doodle a not-too-subtle pointer to Google+

google-logo.jpgIf you've been to your Google home page today (9.21.11) and you're wondering what the animated blue arrow means in the Google Doodle, it's pointing to the spot where you can now sign up for the Google+ service. Previously operating in an invitation-only public beta mode, Google+ is surfacing as a challenger to social networking giant Facebook. Google+ became available to everyone yesterday and the timing could not be better. Overnight, Facebook made a bunch of changes to their interface that have most people fuming this morning. Was it a coincidence that Google+ ended their beta the day before Facebook made sweeping changes. Probably not. This is going to get interesting.

Have you, or are you planning to try, Google+? What do you think about the changes to Facebook today? What is your quest? What is your favorite color?
