Want an iPhone 4 but need a real keyboard? Try the Keyboard Buddy case by Boxwave

I hear it from Blackberry owners all the time. They like the iPhone 4 but after years of mastering the "Blackberry thumb" technique they just have to have a physical keyboard. With recent rumors saying the next iPhone will come with a keyboard, you have to wonder if all those Blackberry users out there are driving potential design changes. I don't think that's going to happen (it's really not Apple's style) so it's nice to know if you need a keyboard for your iPhone 4, some options already are available.

One of those options is the Keyboard Buddy case by Boxwave. When you look at the Keyboard Buddy it just looks like a thick case. The integrated Bluetooth keyboard is very stealthy and easily slides out from beneath the iPhone giving you a quick transition from touch screen to a physical keyboard. The keys give good feedback with audible clicks and Bluetooth pairing was fast and easy.

The back of the case/keyboard is a nice, flat black which reduces fingerprints and also adds some extra grip to the device. The Keyboard Buddy does add some bulk to the slim iPhone 4, but not any more than an Otter Box case or some of the other heftier cases out there. Cutouts for all ports give you full functionality at all times.

Included with the Keyboard Buddy is a USB charger and the rated use per charge is a long, 45 days.

This is a great solution for anyone who needs a physical keyboard available on their iPhone 4 at all times. I have big thumbs, so I found it hard to use the top row of buttons due to limited space between the edge of the case and the buttons. I let my son give it a try and he didn't have any trouble at all, so I'm sure that won't be an issue for most people.
