Weatherproof LCD TVs perfect for the patio or pool

(Las Vegas, Nevada - January 5, 2011- CES) - Living in Florida, I know lots of people who have TVs out by the pool or on the patio. The humidity is pretty rough on the electronics, not to mention the occasional splash from the kids, so a weatherproof TV likely would be a welcome thing for many people.

Ciil Technologies has introduced a line of weatherproof, HDTVs in sizes from 32 to 55-inches. Calling them "the market's only 100-percent, fully-sealed full 1080p HD flat panel TVs," the company says they go beyond being weatherproof because they are sealed with no vents or filters. Because of this, they say they can even withstand pressure washing from any angle and will operate while totally submerged (not recommended). A video on their site shows divers watching TV in a pool!

So you think heat build-up would be a problem with a completely sealed TV? They thought of that too. Their patented Fully-Encapsulated Dynamic Thermal TransferTM System keeps everything warm in extreme cold and cool in extreme heat without vents, filters or exhaust fans with no water, dust, insects or air getting inside the display. No pricing was immediately available and I'm guessing they're not cheap.
