At AT&T store: No lines for Lumia 920, $100 off tablets, iPhone 5 for holidays

I visited the AT&T store in Carrollwood this morning (to upgrade my phone), and came out with three things to share:

No lines!

Today is the launch of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. These new Windows Phone 8 phones are pretty sharp with vivid color tiles and wireless charging (AT&T is throwing in the charger for free for now). I checked the phones out for a few minutes, and found them to be a bit too bulky and wide for my taste. The case felt plasticky and cheap. The OS will definitely take some getting used to.

Tablet sale

If you're in the market for a tablet with cellular service, Josh, my sales rep, said a sale started today for $100 off a tablet with a two-year data plan. That includes iPads, folks! Or if you prefer the Windows environment, the new Windows Surface, too. Not a bad deal. Something for the holidays?
