My bad, my apology
When voting took place for the NHL All-Star team, forwards were picked based on position, not just as forwards. That is what kept Vinny Lecavalier off the first team. He was competing with Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby, the winner of the Hart and Pearson trophies as the game's most outstanding player. I apologize for any confusion I caused as to to the election of Washington's Alex Ovechkin.
Having said that, what do you think of the NHL going to a system where it votes just for forwards and not positions?
