Agent: Rolston negotiations going slowly
Stephen Bartlett, the agent for left wing Brian Rolston, said Monday night that there has been little change in the way negotiations have gone between his client and the Lightning. Tampa Bay wants to sign Rolston before he becomes an unrestricted free agent at midnight.
"No real change since the last time I spoke to you," Bartlett said.
At that time Bartlett said he there was no clear indication Rolston would not go into free agency. Asked if that that should be construed as not optimistic, Bartlett said, "You can put whatever kind of characterization on it you want. I'm not going to say nay or yay or good or bad."
Bartlett said he would keep talking to Tampa Bay.
"I never stop talking," he said. "That's not my style."
