Close of financial deal will wait for tomorrow
It apparently is nothing to worry about, but it appears the closing of the $200-million deal in which OK Hockey will buy the Lightning, the St. Pete Times Forum lease and 5.5 acres adjacent to the arena, will be put off one day.
The closing is the final step in the transfer of ownership from Palace Sports & Entertainment.
OK Hockey's Oren Koules and Len Barrie had said they were to close the deal today (Monday). Now it seems as if Tuesday is more likely. It is clear, the NHL would not have allowed OK Hockey to run the show as it has if it were not satisfied the deal would be done.
So, no biggie for now, just something to log in.
