Augusta Lynx folds
In the end, the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL, a former Lightning affiliate, could not find the investors it needed to stay afloat, not could it find a buyer. That said, the 10-year-old team announced Tuesday it has ceased operations. Its players are free agents. Players under contract to the Lightning (defenseman Kevin Quick and center Chris Lawrence; goalie Riku Helenius already was with AHL Norfolk), will be re-assigned.
