Melrose addendum

DECEMBER 04, 2008

For those of you who are curious, Barry Melrose's broadcasting job is not the kind of "hockey" job that gets the Lightning off the hook for his salary. Melrose might have been embarrassed at the way his second coaching career went, but he has made out quite nicely, pulling in whatever salary he gets from ESPN plus, as of now, the entire value of his three-year Tampa Bay contract, about $2.25-million.
