Stamkos a Young Star, scratched
Lightning rookie Steven Stamkos was named on Friday to participate in the Young Stars Game played during All-Star weekend in Montreal. The Young Stars game this season will feature sophomore players against rookies in a three-on-three contest, Jan. 24 at the Bell Centre. It is the first time the rookies vs. sophomore format will be used. That good news was tempered later in the morning when the struggling Stamkos was scratched from tonight's game with the Ducks.
