No draft party, but Tampa Bay Lightning schedules prospects camp at St. Pete Times Forum
The Tampa Bay Lightning will hold a prospects camp from July 8-15 at the St. Pete Times Forum, the highlight of which will be a scrimmage at 7 p.m. July 11 that is free and open to the public.
The camp not only will include the team's draft picks from this weekend's draft (defenseman Victor Hedman, if he is available, likely will be taken with the No. 2 pick), but prospects from previous drafts. Stayed tuned for announcements as to what workouts are open to the public besides the scrimmage.
No draft party is planned this year, but the team apparently is putting a lot of effort into what it believes will be a "fan friendly" camp with plenty of chances for interaction with players and coaches and chances to get autographs.
