The Rays-Orioles game at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota has been rained out.

RHP Nate Eovaldi had been scratched from his scheduled start in the event the game did begin but was shortened by rain. Eovaldi was expected to pitch six innings or throw 90 pitches, and the Rays want him to get as close to that in this start. So Eovaldi will pitch Wednesday in a minor-league game at the Rays complex.

LH Vidal Nuño was scheduled to face the Orioles tonight.

The Rays took batting practice in the cages in Port Charlotte from 2 to 3 p.m. and were scheduled to bus to Ed Smith Stadium.
